When recruiting new volunteers, it shall be the policy of Restore The Fourth to conduct an intake interview, which aims to identify and welcome individuals who agree in good faith to work respectfully with other Restore The Fourth volunteers to pursue its goals via rational and peaceful means.
A formal decision to exclude an existing non-Board volunteer shall be taken by consensus, at a chapter meeting or, in the case of volunteers not affiliated with a local chapter, the national Board, where the agenda topic is previously clearly advertised.
Chapter or Board members participating in this discussion shall consider written submissions, and a written statement by the accused volunteer, but the chapter or Board member proposing the motion shall not vote on the decision, and the accused volunteer shall not be present in the discussion.
Chapters shall make the Board aware of any exclusion decisions
